I’m always one to get up close and personal and right in people’s faces when I’m taking portraits, but this week’s I Heart Faces theme is “From a Distance”. A great change of pace and a chance to take a step back and get a new perspective.
This is one of my all-time favorite photos of my kiddos. Our neighbors have this great field – one of the only spots around our house without a tree on the horizon – that seems to change each day with the light and the weather. We were headed home from swimming when I noticed that they had hauled all the round bales out of this field. I stopped the car, grabbed my camera and hustled the kids out to get this shot. Now I have this vision of recreating this same scene for all four seasons! Unfortunately, we don’t get snow that often. The kids may be much bigger in the second installation!
Take a minute to stop by and see all the other “From A Distance” entries at I Heart Faces!
