Today my kids played outside in shorts and rode their bikes with no shoes. Today it was 76 degrees. But yesterday…
Yesterday it was so cold we had snow. Not much, but snow. As I stopped by the vet clinic on my way to town, I found my husband trying to coax a horse out of the barn and the horse was not interested. It was cold.

But it’s cold… I don’t want to.

Come on…
Now head on over to see what Sarah Phillips, MG Design Photography- Lincoln, CA Photographer, has captured for this week’s “Cold” challenge!

Looks cold! Great shots!
i love horse photos. how lucky to be around them. you captured his feelings about getting out into the world. nice photos traca
How amazing that you can have snow one day an 76 degrees the next! great photos Traca! I remember how much my horses didn’t want to venture into the cold when I was young. Is your husband a veterinarian?
Poor fella! I love horses, won’tcha take more photos of them throughout the year?
Horse shots always get me. They are such gentle giants. Let them go back in the barn! It’s cold! Lol.
WOW…snow in TX! that doesn’t happen all too often, huh? i like how you posted this as a series, so we really get to see the horse’s resistance (and your husband’s PERSISTENCE) play out before our eyes. great take on this week’s theme!
I like how you captured the horse’s expression in the second photo. It really gives me a sense of his reluctance. I have seen this look before:)Thanks for sharing. See you next week!
Great shots, and what a beautiful horse!
Love these series of photos – your black and whites are so pretty!
Yes, Marla, he is! He is part of a 7 doctor practice here in Stephenville, Texas. He mainly does equine and some beef cattle work.
Thanks, Karen! I always enjoy working on B&W conversions and this week things just looked colder in B&W!
Love this series! The horse is beautiful and I love the story the photos tell! Wish we had just a little bit of that snow!
Love these! You take wonderful photos.
